Dr. Juan A. Bonilla

One of the founding physicians of Pediatric Ears, Nose & Throat Institute of South Texas (PENT), Dr. Bonilla is Texas tried and true. Born in Laredo and reared and educated in San Antonio, he graduated from St. Mary’s University and the University of Texas Medical School. He received medical training in New York and Boston, and graduated from medical school in 1983. 

He completed surgical residency specializing in otolaryngology; head and neck (ear, nose and throat) at the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He was then accepted and finished a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the prestigious Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, before returning to practice in San Antonio in 1989. He is the first fellowship trained, exclusively pediatric ear, nose and throat surgeon in San Antonio.

Dr. Bonilla is fluent in Spanish and educates patients about their ENT issue and the best treatment available.
